Born on 3 May 1975 in San Martín, Argentina, Gómez began his professional journey with Club Atlético Huracán in 1992. His early years saw him develop his craft, showcasing flair and vision that would eventually captivate fans worldwide. By 1995, he made his move to the top tier with Huracán, instantly becoming a key player for the side.

Gómez’s European adventure began in 1995 when he signed with the Argentine club Deportivo Morón, before moving to Spain in 1999.
